Before and After School Care

Pre-school care

Primary school children have the opportunity to access the classrooms from 7:45 am, under the supervision of the teachers. During the pre-school period, children can engage in playful and creative activities, reading, and revision of their lessons. The service ends at 8:30 am when lessons begin.
For nursery school children, arrival is more flexible, and they can enter between 7:45 am and 9:30 am.

After school care (Nursery)

Children who stay beyond the 3:45pm pick-up time can enjoy a delicious snack prepared fresh daily by our cooks. They can then unwind and have fun with a variety of structured activities and playtime with their friends until 6:00pm. During good weather, these activities take place in our spacious outdoor area featuring games, murals, a football pitch, a basketball hoop, and plenty of space for playground games.

After school care (Primary)

The “after-school club” provides a supportive environment for primary school children to complete their homework. With the guidance of dedicated staff, they learn different strategies and study methods, fostering greater independence and self-confidence. By recognizing both school and extracurricular activities as valuable learning opportunities, the club aims to nurture each student’s sense of self-efficacy and self-esteem. Through various methods like cooperative learning, peer-to-peer learning, metacognitive learning, and even e-learning, students not only improve their collaborative skills and goal-setting but also achieve academic success.

Playtime & Fun (Younger Children)

For younger children in classes one and two, after-school care offers a time for pure enjoyment. They can socialize with their peers, play board games, or engage in active games in the gym or on the terrace.

This service runs from Monday to Friday, 4:15pm to 6:30pm, and is staffed by our experienced school personnel.

Summer school

In June, primary school children have the opportunity to attend summer school until the 30th, participating in engaging activities organized by our staff. Nursery school offers summer care from July 1st to 30th, welcoming both existing and new students. During this period, attendance is optional, and activities follow themes chosen by the teachers, with a new theme each week. Summer school hours are Monday to Friday, 7:45am to 6:00pm.

Psychological Counselling

Within our school, we believe that a psychological perspective on children is important and significant in order to enhance each child’s educational and formative path. It is no coincidence that we are committed to the serenity of the time spent at school, focusing our attention on the needs of each child, observing changes and development with professionalism and competence.

In nursery school especially, the psychologist works closely with teachers to ensure a smooth transition to primary school. This goes beyond simply sharing information about the children’s progress. Following a school readiness test offered to all children in their final year, the psychologist can provide valuable guidance to future teachers and parents. The test assesses a range of developmental areas, including cognitive, linguistic, motor, emotional, social and autonomy skills, allowing the psychologist to offer tailored advice to support each child’s individual needs as they move on to the next stage of their education.

Our school psychologists are readily available for daily consultations with teachers. With their unique perspective on child development, they can directly observe the children’s progress and collaborate with teachers to recommend interventions if any difficulties arise. Open communication and constructive dialogue with families are always prioritised before any action is taken.

This version emphasizes the readily available nature of the psychologists, highlights their expertise in child development, and clarifies the collaborative process between teachers, psychologists, and families.
